Lovely Peaceful Walks
We were in Tavistock and took the opportunity to have a walk along the Tavistock Canal and Waterway. Lovely and peaceful walk bringing us good and not so good memories from both the recent and distant...
Enjoyable walk
This is an enjoyable walk starting in the centre of town. You can walk it all or a portion. Only negative is some areas of canal need cleaning of trash.
Nice for a stroll
The walk along the canal is pretty enough with historic houses, parks and gardens and of course the viaduct. It makes a nice place for a stroll on a sunny day while you explore the town.
Surprisingly pleasant walk.
Lovely tranquil walk from the heart of Tavistock into the beautiful countryside. Historic viaduct. Views and the lovely sound of water accompanies you all the way.

A lovely level walk with the added bonus of a kingfisher which sadly, flew too fast for us to photograph
