Compact and easy-to-see weeping plums are wonderful
Original Text
It's not as big as the place called ** Umebayashi in various places, but it's very easy to go around because there are few slopes and undulations. The weeping plum tree is not too big and is easy to take pictures, and there are trees planted as a commemoration of graduation, so you can enjoy visiting regularly and watching over the growth of the same tree.
Usually, it is an ordinary shrine, but there is a plum forest / plum garden, and every year 2-3 month is crowded with visitors. I visited 2019/3/2 this year. The plum festival was also held in full bloom.
It is a shrine that suddenly appears in a rice field in the countryside. You can see the plum tree from the parking lot. It was too early and only about three were in bloom, so I took only pictures and came back, but I thought it would be pretty beautiful when it was in full bloom. February 14th was still too early.
I have been taking a walk to Sugawara Shrine since the morning. Weeping plums are in full bloom. You can see 々 plums like white, red and pink. It seems that there are many people in the daytime, so I aim for early morning.
It is a shrine in Kokubun, Suzuka City, where the wooden seated statue of Sugawara no Michizane is called "Kokubun Tenjin-san" of the divine body. In the precincts, there is a splendid plum garden of 350 weeping plums, and it is a famous flower spot that many people visit during the plum season. Admission is free, but during the plum season, there are requests for beautification cooperation fee 100 yen everywhere in the precincts. The plums are very beautiful, but the passages in the plum garden are narrow and there are quite a few steps, so be careful when walking.
