A must in Eugene even if for a glance
I mean, it's a rock on a street. So pretty unspectacular for any reason except its meaning. It's the site where the great runner Steve Prefontaine died when his convertible overturned in the 1970s. If...

If your a runner it is almost required that on a visit to Eugene that you make a trip up to the spot where the famous runner crashed and passed away. you ill see others who have come and left items. ...

We loved visiting this spot. It’s right on the edge of a neighborhood and parking is really limited but definitely a must for any Pre fan.
Fun spot
Fun spot to stop especially if you are a fan. The parking is limited and the streets are narrow but worth the drive.
