The lobby is low, but the atrium is open; the elevator is old and unstable, but the view is full of greenery; the carpet is not new, but the walls are decorated with bold murals that are a fusion of East and West. Palermo is too far away, so our three-day tour of Sicily was focused on the east coast, in Catania, Syracuse, and Taormina. On the third day, we took the Interbus to Taormina. Although you can also take the train, Taormina is built on a mountain, so the bus can drive up, while the train station is at the foot of the mountain. There is supposedly a bus, but I didn't see it.
