It is a place worth visiting. Although the area is not large, the entire memorial hall shows us Sun Yat-sen's life in Southeast Asia and the contributions made by the Chinese in Singapore to save the country.
This is a place with a lot of history. Every step I took in the memorial hall made me feel like I was going back in time and wandering through that history, and this feeling never went away. It felt like I was in a time machine and went back in time. It was quite interesting to appreciate the carefully curated exhibitions and collections. This brought everything to a climax. The memorial hall is well run and well organized. However, if you have been educated too much in the traditional Chinese culture, the unconventional part of the revolutionary spirit may be lost on you. A wonderful place to spend a few hours immersed in the historical events of the great Chinese man. The buildings are well preserved and the surrounding gardens are clean and tidy. There are so many photos and artifacts of Sun Yat-sen here. He helped China resist the Japanese invasion. I also learned that he overthrew the imperial rule in China. Why didn't I give it a five-star rating? Because it is free for locals only, and outsiders are charged.
The place where Dr. Sun Yat-sen stayed in Singapore has now been turned into a memorial hall, displaying cultural relics and historical materials related to Dr. Sun. The building itself is a two-story villa full of Nanyang style. The shape is elegant and delicate, combined with outdoor garden landscape, it is a good place for leisure, dining, and cultural and historical tours.
Sun Yat-sen Nanyang Memorial Hall was formerly known as Wanqing Garden. It is the former site of the Nanyang branch of the Tongmenghui. It preserves many important historical materials of Mr. Sun Yat-sen when he was in Singapore, as well as many pictures and materials related to Sun Yat-sen. The exterior is a small house with white as the main color, which is quite elegant.
Sun Yat-sen Nanyang Memorial Hall is located next to Zhongshan Park in Singapore. It was formerly known as Wanqingyuan. It is an important historical witness of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's promotion of the Chinese Revolution in Singapore. It was the former site of the Nanyang branch of the Tongmenghui and preserves many important historical materials. Take the MRT NS line to Novena Station and walk to it after exiting the station. The visit is free.
This is a small colonial house, which has been transformed into a museum in memory of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. The museum is well preserved. It introduces the Sun Yat-sen Revolutionary Movement and Chinese immigrants in Singapore. Now there are children's costume exhibitions in the late Qing Dynasty. Children will like this interactive screen. They can design their own clothes.
