What did I see traveling from Chaoyang, Beijing to the Singapore River Safari?
Have you ever wondered what a magical journey it would be to travel all the way south from Chaoyang, Beijing, crossing borders, to the Singapore River Safari? What kind of beautiful scenery and stories are hidden there that attract countless visitors? Today, follow my footsteps and let's uncover its mysterious veil together.
Departing from Chaoyang, Beijing, heading to the dreamlike park
The most convenient way to get from Chaoyang, Beijing to Singapore is by plane. You can fly directly from Beijing Capital International Airport or Daxing International Airport to Singapore Changi Airport, with a flight time of about 6.5 to 7.5 hours. After arriving at Changi Airport, there are several ways to get to the River Safari. Taking the MRT is an economical choice: first transfer to the North-South Line (Red Line), then transfer to bus 138 at Ang Mo Kio Station or bus 927 at Choa Chu Kang Station, both of which go directly there. You can also choose to take a taxi, which takes about 30 minutes. Although it costs a bit more, it offers a faster and more comfortable ride.
Encounter diverse landscapes and feel the charm of nature
The Singapore River Safari is Asia’s first and only river-themed wildlife park. It is like a wonderful natural museum, condensing the world’s eight major freshwater habitats. Upon entering the park, the first thing you see is lush greenery and babbling streams, as if you’ve instantly stepped into a tropical rainforest. In the "World Rivers" exhibit, you can experience the unique ecosystems of different river basins, from China’s Yangtze River to Egypt’s Nile River, from Africa’s Congo River to South America’s Amazon River, and see rare animals like the Yangtze alligator, Nile monitor lizard, and Mekong giant catfish.
The Giant Panda Forest is the star attraction of the park, home to the adorable pandas "Kai Kai" and "Jia Jia." Their cute antics—eating bamboo, playing, and sleeping—will melt your heart. The Amazon River zone is definitely a must-visit. Take the "Amazon River Quest" boat ride along the 483-meter-long river. During the 20-minute journey, you can get up close to rare animals like the Brazilian tapir, jaguar, and capybara—exciting and fun. The world’s largest freshwater aquarium—the Amazon Flooded Forest—displays the Amazon rainforest during the flood season, where giant manatees and giant arapaimas swim freely underwater, offering a breathtaking sight.

Wonderful park, wonderful pandas! You feel like a kid. Be sure to ride the boats.
The River Safari showcases the rich species of the world's major freshwater river basins and is very suitable for taking children to play, especially the Amazon Adventure rafting in the scenic area (which requires an additional fee of S$5 per person). The whole journey takes 12 minutes and can be repeated unlimited times.
It is very convenient to buy tickets on Ctrip. After visiting the zoo, you can go directly to the ecological park next to it to continue playing. The fish tanks in the ecological park are very clean and beautiful. It is also very interesting to take a boat tour to see the golden leopards. There are also giant pandas in it. It is worth coming.
Singapore River Ecological Park is a large 12-hectare oasis and is the only wildlife park in Asia with the theme of animals and fish unique to the world's great rivers. Since opening in 2013, it has attracted countless tourists to explore, the aisles and trails in the gardens are full of beautiful planting flowers, and there are animal performances in various times...
It is cheaper on Ctrip than buying it on site. After buying it, you can make an appointment for the time to enter the park. It is the two codes on your confirmation slip. Fill them in order, first fill in the long one, then fill in the short one. It is in the upper right corner of the confirmation slip, not a QR code. If you take the subway, get off at Bef Khatib Stn. There is a zoo special bus after getting off the subway. Get on the bus at Mandai Khatib Shuttle bus station. The body of the bus is full of animals and it is easy to identify. It runs about every 10 minutes. It is more convenient to take this bus. You need to swipe your card to get on the bus, 1 SGD, and you don’t need to swipe when you get off. Children can look after the driver. We swiped it when we went there, but we didn’t let us swipe it when we came back. This bus has 2 stops, Bird Paradise is one stop, and the other three zoos are one stop. Night Zoo, River Zoo, and another is the daytime zoo. After entering the zoo, remember to make an appointment for the performance time at the entrance to ensure that you can see the animal performance. There are three performance time periods, one at noon and two in the afternoon. The Amazon Adventure Boat Ride is 5 SGD per person, the same price for adults and children, swipe your card, no cash is accepted. You can queue up and take the boat to watch repeatedly. Don't sit in the first row for two people, the water will wet your clothes. You can sit in the first row for three people. When the music starts and there are explanations, you can just look at the animals on both sides. There are also animal signboards on the shore. There is also a panda mother restaurant next to the panda house. The price is okay. The children's portion is less than 16 SGD, more than 80 RMB. The fries are very large and I didn't finish them. This zoo is basically a covered corridor, not hot. I can probably think of so much, I hope it can help friends who go there to play.
You can see many animals that are not found in other places. The boat in the park is very interesting. The children said it is a small whitewater rafting ride, and you can see various animals. There is also the Capybara, which is very popular recently.
Walking along the trail, there are basically pergolas where you can see animals moving around in a close-to-natural environment. It's worth the trip.
