I saw it while walking around Niu Shui Che. Fude Temple means the Temple of the God of Land. This place is not very big. Its architectural style is almost the same as the temple style in Chaoshan area of southern Fujian. It may be related to the Chinese structure here.
The building was the Ford Temple from the early nineteenth century to 1994. After its closure, the building was transformed into a museum. In a small area of the history of early Chinese immigrants to Singapore, ancestral temples were all places where immigrants sought to commemorate their ancestors. There are many ancient Chinese cultural relics to see.
The Ford Temple Museum was built by a Chinese. Its architectural history is about several hundred years old. Many places have been repaired later. There are some ancient furniture in it. It can feel a way of life in ancient southern China and Tezakh.
Located between Chinatown and Raffles Place, it is one of the historical sites of Chinese Singaporeans. Worth a visit.
Fude Temple is one of the oldest Chinese ancestral temples in Singapore. It was converted into a museum after it closed.
