Spalliera + Blizzard Time
Inspired by the pointed arches in Italian Gothic architecture and handmade by artisans from the south of Italy, the stunning 20-metre-tall Spalliera light display centrepiece will be the backdrop to a perennial favourite, Blizzard Time.
Experience the surreal landscape of ‘snowfall’ in the Gardens daily, which will be even more magical when accompanied with choral music by illustrious Singaporean composer-conductor Dr. Darius Lim.
Blizzard Time will take place daily after each Garden Rhapsody light and sound show.
Stunning new light displays and multi-sensorial experiences
Photo opportunities are aplenty all around the Supertree Grove with four times more light displays that include a giant Ice Skate, Ornament Balls, and Gift Boxes.
Over at the Lawn, a larger-than-life light display of an adorable trio of Merry Bears – the biggest measuring up to six metres tall – will put a smile on everyone’s faces. Visitors can also wander through an enchanted forest at Bluebell Lane.
More captivating light displays can be found at Merry Lane presented by Trip.com too, with installations such as the colourful 50-metre-long Walk of Lights tunnel. Another highlight is Odette’s Dance, an ode to one of the world’s most iconic ballets, Swan Lake. The mixed media installation combines light displays of swans with captivating multimedia content.

Supertrees are not only a concept, but also a symbol of Singapore's green urban planning. These tree-shaped structures are 25 to 50 meters high, like a fairy-tale forest in reality, making people feel like they are in a green city of the future. Marina Bay Gardens plans to build 18 supertrees, which will serve as vertical gardens covered with tropical flowering climbers, epiphytes and ferns, forming a green scene.
Supertree/giant Optimus tree, you can see from a distance these tree-shaped vertical gardens stand tall, 9 to 16 storeys high. These unique vertical gardens showcase tropical climbing plants, epiphytes and ferns, creating amazing elements.
Eleven of these super trees will be installed with solar photovoltaic cells. These cells are not only used to generate electricity and meet the lighting needs of the garden, but also reflect Singapore's emphasis on sustainable energy and environmental protection.
It’s a bit scary (I’m afraid of heights) but the ladder itself doesn’t have abnormal noises and shaking. It must be very strong materials. There are very soft light everywhere. It takes good pictures.
