The temple of Zhousa and the Nongmah are very close. The Nongmah is one of the two complete and interesting to me, but they are all great. The temple of Zhousa is a small and ornate temple (like the size of a church). It’s not a popular attraction, but it’s worth a visit if you have time.
This temple is somewhat similar to the Tomaya next to it, reminiscent of the form of Angkor Temple. This place is small in architecture and scattered in shape. This is a very special temple, just east of Bayan Temple.
A beautifully restored temple on the small Angkor circuit which seems to get overlooked and bypassed by most tourists racing between Ta Prohm and Bayon. Definitely worth half an hour to check out. It is very close to the road.
Zhousa Temple is a famous attraction in Siem Reap and worth a visit.
Chau Say Tevoda is located about 70 meters south of Shengli Gate in Tongwang City. The temple was built in the early 12th century under the rule of Sayawaman II. The Temple of Tomanon, 170 meters north of the temple, was built in the same period. Its architectural layout and structure are exactly the same. But it is not clear why these two buildings were built. Only in the late nineteenth century, when French military officer Diko in Cambodia discovered the building, he learned from the local population that the temple was dedicated to Chau Say, so the French named it Chau Say Tevoda.
Walking to Zhousa Temple, no matter the scenery, there will be a very strong sense of intimacy and pride. Because this is a temple that China is involved in restoration, and there is Chinese to introduce to you in front of the temple, which is really rare. Although the whole temple does not have much to see, just some fragmented and dilapidated buildings, we can feel the different artistic styles and forms of expression during the Khmer period. We can also feel the Chinese people's due contribution to the development of Cambodian culture.
Before I went to Cambodia, I checked all kinds of scenic spots carefully for fear of missing something wonderful. After I went to Cambodia, I found that there were many similar small temples in the area. The temple was repaired with Chinese assistance. The Chinese people were well-behaved, and many places were filled with new brick walls. When I looked at them, I might feel less historical authenticity.
