ＪＲ Zuiryuji Temple is about a 20-minute walk from Shizuoka Station. It is a temple of the Soto sect founded by Noya Bongei Kazuhisa in the 3rd year of Eiroku during the Sengoku period. There is a tomb of Asahihime, the younger sister of Hideyoshi Toyotomi and Ieyasu's lawful wife, and it seems that the name of the temple was named after the posthumous name engraved on the tombstone. In the precincts, Basho's monument, Shigurezuka, says, "Kefu no Kami is also old." There is also a Christian lantern. The 16 Rakan statues and Shaka Sanson donated by Ieyasu to the temple ...

It is a temple behind Asama Shrine. There is a grave of Asahihime, who is Hideyoshi Toyotomi's younger sister and married Ieyasu Tokugawa. Due to the fire, the building has been rebuilt and has no remnants of the Warring States period, but many graves are lined up on the steep mountain surface.

Zuiryuji Temple is located near Asama Shrine. This temple has a very old history and is related to Ieyasu Tokugawa, isn't it surprising?
