National Highway 1 Downline There is a climbing gate beside the roadside station, and you can climb a fairly steep slope. There is a place where you can see Mt. Fuji at the top of the pass, and when you go down to the Okabe side, you can climb the old Tokaido pass again and return to the road station at the starting point → Utsunoya Village →. It takes about 1 about an hour and a half, and the guide board is also maintained, so it is a good course for hiking, but it is better to prepare shoes that are used to walking on the cobblestones on the Okabe side.
I think it's best to go to Ita-no-Hosodo Park to get to Utsugaya Pass. There is also a parking lot, so it's a good idea to park your car there and walk on the old Tokaido and Utsugaya Pass! There are places where the old appearance remains ~! Now it's convenient ~! I think you can realize that. There is also a break hut in the park, so you can take a break.
The road over the Utsunoya Pass, which has been around since the old Tokaido. It also appears in literature and is also called Tsuta no Hosodo. The entrance on the Shizuoka side is next to the roadside station, and you can cross the opposite Fujieda side in less than 1 time.
