About 10 minutes walk from Ishibashi Station. Enshrined along the Nikko Kaido. Founded in 759. The deity is the spirit of fire. It used to be on the Atagozuka Kofun tumulus, but it was relocated to its current location (inari shrine precincts) in 1913 due to the double track construction of the Tohoku Line. A sacred tree zelkova stands tall in the precincts. The torii gate was built in 1934. The guardian dog was built in 1913, so it must have been built when it was relocated to this area. The hall of worship is covered with wooden copper plate (iron plate?). The main shrine is covered with wooden copper plate and painted vermilion. I passed by when I traveled on the old Nikko Kaido by running. It stands out because it says "Ishibashi Atago Shrine" on the entrance. When I stepped through the torii gate, there was a quiet space different from the outside, probably because of the precincts surrounded by a large tree 々.
