Siyue Academy Site

Siyue Academy, located on Dongmen Pedestrian Street, was built during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. Its original address is No. 22 Nanqing Street, covering an area of ​​about 228 square meters. It is a memorial to the ancestor "Zhang Siyue" of the Zhang clan in Shuibei, Hubei and Xiangxi villages of Luohu. "The private school built here is also where the children of Zhang and surrounding villagers study and study.

Siyue Academy is located on Dongmen Pedestrian Street in Luohu District, Shenzhen. It was first built during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of more than 300 years. It was once a reception station for the Guangdong-Hong Kong General Strike and has experienced many revolutionary wars. "Studying for the people and benefiting the people" is the consistent purpose of the ancient Siyue Academy.

Dongmen Old Street doesn't have any precious cultural relics, except for a modern Siyue Academy. From the entrance of the old street, you can see the second tallest building (Kingkey 100) and the third tallest building in Shenzhen.

Siyue Academy is an ancient academy, standing quietly in the downtown area, which can be regarded as a quiet place in the bustling city. There is a super big tree at the entrance. I don’t know what kind of tree it is, but the height of the tree is amazing. The tree is hung with red lanterns. The appearance of Siyue Academy is particularly simple and elegant, the sculptures on the roof are also very unique, and the entrance is also hung with big red lanterns.

Siyue Academy is the first cultural relic protection I found in the young city of Shenzhen, and it is also a municipal-level one. Siyue Academy is located in Shenzhen Old Street, which is the earliest population gathering place in Shenzhen and also the earliest urban area.

The exterior of Siyue Academy is antique and looks like a small courtyard that has traveled through time, giving it a full sense of time travel. I had heard of Siyue Academy before, but I didn't expect to see it here today.
