A Delightful and Educational Journey Through World Cup Park
#cityplaybook
Following the "tree journey" program at World Cup Park in Mapo-gu, Seoul, allowed me to explore every nook and cranny of the park, discovering its hidden natural gems.
The highlight for me was undoubtedly the tree quiz. Searching for various trees and solving riddles about them significantly deepened my understanding of arboreal life. While I'm sure some of the specific details will fade with time, the overall experience was incredibly fun and enriching. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover how many tree names I already knew – a rather fascinating revelation!
Even on an overcast day, the park offered beautiful sights. The soft light allowed for comfortable viewing of the surroundings, and I particularly remember the elegant Korean fringe tree (이팝나무) standing gracefully beneath the pretty sun.
One memorable observation was of the "Chil-yeop-su" (칠엽수), a tree whose name, meaning "seven-leaf tree," perfectly describes its distinct characteristic of having seven leaves. It's the kind of detail that makes you truly look up and appreciate nature's simple wonders.
Overall, World Cup Park provides a wonderfully engaging and educational escape. It's a fantastic destination for anyone looking to connect with nature, learn something new, and simply enjoy a peaceful stroll amidst beautiful greenery.

The World Cup Stadium is also a place that announces the arrival of fall! Reed fields, pink muhly, tadpoles? Frogs? Take the train up and take a look.
If you have some time in the area, you can go to the World Cup Park, build on the hill, take the tram to go up, each person costs 3,000 won, on the top of the hill, there are a large field of reeds and flowers. It's better to watch the sunset because many Koreans are carrying professional cameras.
Blue Sky Park is a theme park in the World Cup Park, which is loved by the citizens. Because it is located in "the nearest place to the sky" (the name of Blue Sky Park comes from it), beautiful scenery, standing here with an extremely wide field of vision, Seoul panoramic view. It's also a place where people can see the changes - landfills of the past have become beautiful parks of today. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Seoul and the Hanjiang River by climbing up the 219 stone steps.
Korea World Cup Park, come here for free without tickets, the environment is very good, there are many sports facilities, like sports friends can come to visit, it is worth recommending.
