The market at first didn't feel very local; it felt more like a tourist destination. Once we arrived at the farm, the environment was fantastic, with plenty of spices and ingredients to smell and taste. The cooking lessons were also very interesting.
grandma's home cooking school
The Chinese teacher teaches high-quality cooking, familarizes himself with the raw materials under the guidance of the teacher, sits around a plate of raw materials, begins to understand various spices, makes Thai dishes by himself, and tastes his own cooking results.

It’s so worth it. Would totally recommend it. Ivan made the day perfect. Thank you!
I was incredibly lucky to catch Rin's class, the online celebrity teacher! The atmosphere was fantastic. We spent an hour learning at the farmers' market early in the morning, then headed to the farm to take some nice photos, learn about and smell various spices, and freely choose to cook three dishes. The school provided all the tools and ingredients; all I had to do was listen and cook! I made Tom Yum soup, fried noodles, and curry chicken, and they all turned out pretty good—delicious! I'll definitely come back for another class if I have the chance to visit Chiang Mai again, haha!
We attended the morning session and were able to visit the market. The cooking school is very picturesque and spacious, with dozens of classrooms, farms, rice paddies, and gardens. The teacher took us on a tour before class, explaining the various ingredients. The class itself was quite entertaining and a truly wonderful experience.
It's fun and worth it.
The environment was nice. We were picked up in the morning and departed on time. We could buy butterfly pea flowers at the market. The Chinese teacher was quieter, but if you prefer a more lively atmosphere, you can choose the English one. I heard someone there also speaks Chinese. They also taught us the ingredients used in Thai cuisine. The trip took a while, departing at 8:30 and arriving back at the hotel at almost 2:00, so leave plenty of time.
