    The school building of the former Sapporo Fuji high school, which opened in 1918, was rooted by the efforts of the German bishop quinold who advocated the necessity of women's education as the basis of the development and cultural improvement of Hokkaido. With the educational reform, it is a wooden 3 floor building with wisteria-colored iron plate outer wall, which was used for wisteria girls' junior high school, high school, and women's college and has been preserved as a quinold Memorial Hall since the completion of the new school building in the Showa period.
