The Getty Center was founded by oil tycoon J. Paul Getty and is one of the world's top art research institutions. It not only houses many artworks collected by the Getty family, but also often has some special art exhibitions. When we went there, there happened to be an exhibition of Mexican Mayan cultural relics. The exhibits were very representative and the exhibition standards were quite high. It was a feast for the eyes.
In addition, the Getty Center's building itself is worth seeing. The overall shape of the building was futuristic at the time, and it is still a relatively avant-garde design even today. The building is located on the top of the mountain, overlooking the city of Los Angeles; there is a cable car up the mountain, so you don't have to worry about leg strength.
