    I live on a side road a couple miles from Erie Canal Village. And this year an older couple made reservations at a local hotel to see the village. Well Erie Canal Village has been closed for years....

    This use to be a wonderful family friendly attraction. It was very interactive and hands on for all ages. It was a beautiful living history museum but it is no longer open and in disrepair. So sad.

    This museum is no longer open to the public, is unsafe and in disrepair. We live in Rome. If you are interested in canal history, try The Black River Canal Museum in Boonville, NY or the Erie Canal ...
