Great theatre with wonderful productions
Great theatre in the round in a fairly small setting. Always have plays that are modern and/or with original direction. Northanger Abbey was a great three handed production.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening watching 'She stoops to conquer'. Sitting on the upper level, we did miss a few small bits of the action, but the play was done well in the round. Ice ...
She stoops to conquer - technically inept. If this were a piece of music virtually every note would be a bum one. Naive and embarrassing performances. Why?
A wonderful afternoon at A Christmas Carol. Brilliantly funny, warm and entertaining. 6 and 9 year olds loved it but it appeals to all ages. A lovely Christmas treat!
A totally different experience from a larger theatre, and the better for it.
First visit to this theatre to see "She Stoops to Conquer". What a total treat & just what you need to brighten up a dreary Dec eve. Whole cast was excellent and cleverly worked the whole production...
