based on 7809 reviewsThe Maspalomas Dunes are a nature reserve with 400 hectares and 3 ecosystems coexisting: a palm grove, a brackish water lagoon, and the dunes. The 5-km hike on the dunes was quite the experience, nevermind a rather easy feat, as I have expected. The desert-like proportions of the sandhills blocked all wind and sound, allowing us to submerge into complete silence and isolation even on one of the most visited coasts in Europe.
This is a nature reserve in the Canary Islands. It has many beautiful sand dunes, where lizards and rabbits live, and it is a great place for people to hike.
