M30***41Interesting, but in bad shape.This house is an opportunity to see inside one of Old Phuket Town''s mansions. The house is in a very run down state. It''s beautiful original facade shoes terrible wear and tear, and has an ugly shed built over the right hand side of the facade. The visitor may only see the ground floor, which is furnished, but also shows signs of a desperate need of repair. The garden and the upstairs are not open. It is down a long driveway next door to the beautiful Phra Phithak Chinpracha Mansion (Blue Elephant). This was the only interior of an historic Old Phuket Town mansion that I was able to see, so it was worth the 150 baht. See it before it falls down!!Phuket10.7km from downtown

超级cttThis is a huge museum with many unexpected, educational, interesting and quirky exhibits. The cost was 50 baht per person. We were the only guests and enjoyed the tour at our own pace. The staff were not intrusive and did not charge extra for taking photos. There was no air conditioning and it was very hot, and a bottle of cold water was available for 10 baht. The drive here was pleasant, there was plenty of parking and lots of space for the kids to explore. My kids loved it and would happily visit again. I have been to Phuket many times but had never heard of or visited this wonderful museum. It was recommended to me by my personal driver (a female taxi driver in Phuket arranged a unique half day trip for me) and it was a great suggestion. This museum is really a hidden gem with interesting modern history materials displayed everywhere (including various audio and video, see the video I shared for details). It is a classic blend of archaeology, biology, history and humanities, ancient crafts, mechanical manufacturing and geology and geography, and has a comprehensive display of education. I have to say it's well worth a visit (entrance fee is only 100 baht) and it's honestly amazing.Phuket5.4km from downtown
