Mahogany Forest

Beautiful place, lovely for photos, but a bit offputting with the amount of tourists standing in the middle of the road taking photos

Beautiful Manmade forest created by thousands of volunteers 50 years ago to stop the flood and protect the dying forest in remembrance of all the care we must do to our nature.

The mountain road here is winding, you have to wait for the car to take a photo, because the mountain road is curved, so you can't see the car. There are several roadside parking lots for people to take pictures. Our driver chose to help us take pictures in one place. We have always asked us to take pictures of the family jumping up. This location does not require ticket fees, just pay the transportation fee (chartered/taxi/locomotive). The location is on the side of the road. In the hot weather, this is a good place to escape the heat. If there are vehicles passing by, be careful. Stay time is about 20 minutes

Driving through this man-made forest is wonderful! The mahogany trees that line the sides of the street give a feeling of being truly one with nature. The sun becomes partially hidden, and the atmosphere turns cold once you are in the area. One cannot help but stop for a while to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the coolness.

I wish this coukd be done in the whole Philippines. I wonder how much impact that would make. Simply amazing!

One of the must-visit places in Bohol. Aside from being a free-entrance destination, you'll experience being in the middle of the forest, feeling its natural coolness and take note, the trees there are manually planted by people in the nearby areas.
