Suka Shrine was relocated to the current shrine site as a guardian of the castle when the construction of Oyama Castle was built in 1160 AD, and it seems that it was built in the eastern part of the present Oyama City in 940 AD. The shrine was built by Fujiwara Hidehira in the 10th century and has been looking at history. After passing the long approach, there was a timely kaya ring. The large precincts were spacious and I was able to visit calmly.

The approach starts from the street facing the old Nikko Kaido, but now it is once blocked by the road (sorry) According to the shrine legend, Fujiwara Hidesato was in 940 (Tenkei 3). Even though it was built in Nakakuki, Oyama City It is said that it started, and it was during the Heiji era (1159 – 1160) that it moved to its current location.
