About 10 minutes walk from Kujo station. There is a stone monument along Minato-dori, which runs through the shopping street. In September 1896, the Osaka City Tram opened from the Hanazonobashi tram stop around here to Tsukiko Wharf.
It is a small stone monument near the entrance of Kujo Shopping Street in Nishi-ku, Osaka. It is said that a tram of about 5 km opened from this area to the wharf with the port in 1897. Looking at the road, I feel that the remnants of the tram still remain. There is no particular highlight, but it was a monument that reminds me of those days.
From Kujo Station, go through Nine Mall, cross the pedestrian crossing and go to the right. Only a stone monument along the road toward Ichioka. Unfortunately there was nothing like an explanation board. It seems that the founding dates back to the Meiji 36 year, and it seems that it was from here to Mt. TENPO in Osaka port.
After passing through Nine Mall Kujo, I saw a stone monument on the sidewalk. It is a monument with the founding site of the tram, but it was just a road and there were no remains at that time.
