There was a stone monument on the way from Osaka Castle to Tenmabashi Station
Original Text
After climbing the castle tower of Osaka Castle, I went down to the north side of the castle tower. After seeing the remains of the Osaka Castle Susintetsumon on the other side of the outer moat, I headed for Tenmabashi subway station. There was a stone monument on the sidewalk of the wide road that said "Higashimachi Magistrate's Office Ruins". This is the place where the Higashimachi Magistrate's Office in Osaka was located in the Edo period, near the castle tower.
A stone monument stood in front of the Osaka Joint Government Building.

West of Osaka Castle. A small stone monument stood in front of the building called Osaka Joint Government Building No. 1 Building, about 100 m from the horibata. The stone monument was written as "Higashimachi Magistrate's Office Ruins". In the early Edo period, Higashimachi magistrate's office and Nishimachi magistrate's office were built side by side in this place.
On the way from Osaka Castle to Tenmabashi Station, there was a stone monument in the south of the Kinki Regional Development Bureau. There was no information board, but it seems that there was a magistrate's office in the Edo period. Nishimachi Magistrate's Office is located in My Dome Osaka, which is further west. Currently, there were no remnants of that time, only a stone monument was built.
Opposite the north side road of Otemae University, there is a stone monument of Osaka Town Magistrate (East) along the Osaka Joint Government Building. Basically, hatamoto with more than 1000 Koku was appointed as a magistrate and took the monthly system with the west.
To that extent, go to the site of Higashimachi Magistrate's Office!

The Osakatomachi Magistrate's Office, which was established in the Edo period, was abolished after the Meiji Restoration, but later an army facility was built and is now the Osaka Joint Government Building. It is located on the premises of Building 1. Looking around, it is still a government office district and it seems to be the same as before. By the way, the Nishimachi Magistrate's Office seems to be in front of My Dome Osaka. Shall I go and see it?
