Choko-ji Temple

This is a temple of the Jodo Shinshu Honganji school located in Shimamachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka. The Okawa, which flows through the center of Osaka, was used as a traffic of ships from Kyoto Fushimi and there were many docks near here. It is said that Ryugo Tsukisei, the chief priest from Choshu at this "Chokoji", was interacting with the priest.

Chokoji is a temple of the Jodo Shinshu Honganji school located about ３ minutes walk from Tenmabashi Station. It is a modern building. There was a monument of the Meiji Restoration Historic Site (Monk Moon) in front of the building. Moon sex is a Choshu monk who insists on Sonno Joi, and it is said that many scholars of the Choshu clan were influenced by it. This is a recommended spot for those who are interested in history.

It's a new and very modern building, but there was a stone monument of "｢ Meiji Restoration Historic Site". I didn't know about a monk called Moon, but Ryoma Sakamoto also stayed there. It would have been convenient because it was close to the pier of Hachikenyahama.
