This is the place where you can observe bears up close, attached to the No. 1 Ranch. It is designed as if humans are in a cage, and the bears are surrounding them, so you can experience what it's like to be the prey. You can also closely observe the bears' characteristics, such as their eyes, ears, noses, and fur, up close.

The female brown bears are very active, standing on two legs, lying down, and begging for treats in silly poses. Some of them are quite skillful, standing up and spinning around to show off, and some even balance in a V shape. Here you can observe the movements, dexterity, and intelligence of the bears.
From spring to autumn, the No. 2 Ranch is home to either "curious and playful young bears between the ages of 3 and 5," "unique bears between the ages of 9 and 11," or "veteran bears between the ages of 18 and 30 who are skilled at appealing their desires."
During the winter, "curious and playful young bears" appear.

Totally enjoyed this park where the bears are so active. The duck race is quite funny.
It’s a great place to visit. I won a duck race 😎 and fed a bear. Bears are just amazing and very polite. There is a museum about bears and a village with old houses. You can write a letter and draw a picture for a bear. Also, there are great views, and there is a plush bear in every rope cabin. Definitely worth visiting.
There aren't many other places to visit. In fact, more places to visit are to enjoy the hot spring hotel. Now that we have come to Hell Valley and Bear Ranch, we still need to see it. Coming back from Hell Valley to the hotel and booking shuttle bus to Bear Ranch, it's very close, and hot spring street is at the end. It's good to walk all the way back from Hot Spring Street and go shopping and eat all the way. When you arrive at Bear Ranch, buy tickets first, support Wechat payment, remember you can use red envelope, so one person can buy one is the most cost-effective. Then take a cable car to see the bear! It is estimated that the dried fish was sent to bear and bear to eat. Bear pasture is not very playable. The only pleasure is to feed bear and bear to eat bear biscuits. Bears fight for food, and in order for tourists to feed themselves, some beckons and some sells. One of their favorite bears will hold his feet and shake like a tumbler. I don't know where to learn the posture. It's really lovely! After seeing the bear, he went on walking and felt that he had come to a small village. The small houses were lovely. It was estimated that when it was hot, he could sell small commodities. Go to Bear Restaurant for lunch. It tastes good. After visiting Bear Museum, continue outdoor activities. It's so beautiful to see the sea in the snow. There is also a viewing platform, we put money with a telescope to see the distance, actually see the opposite cruise ship. There's also a photo spot where we can take pictures of the lake behind us. Two Chinese couples have been taking pictures here for a long time, so we can only take a long view. Generally speaking, it's very natural to come here in winter when it's worth returning the fare.
Noboribe tsu Bear Park is the birthplace of "Bears in the Wild". You can see real black bears at the Bear Ranch. The Bear Ranch is divided into the First Ranch and the Second Ranch. The First Ranch is for male bears, the Second Ranch is for female bears, and there is also a Little Bear Ranch (it was too cold when we went there, so the Little Bear Ranch was closed and we didn't see it). There are about 1,600 Japanese brown bears here, which is known as the world's largest bear ranch. It also has the world's only bear museum where you can learn about the life of a bear.
Noboribetsu Bear Ranch is located not far from the hot springs district. The slogan of Hokkaido, "Beware of bears," originated from this. The ranch is divided into the First Ranch, the Second Ranch, and the Little Bear Ranch. The museum in the ranch has more than 500 collections on display. You can buy bear food from the self-service vending machines in the ranch, feed the cute bears, and watch the cute performances of brown bears.
When you come to Noboribetsu for a vacation, in addition to having a big meal at the hot spring hotel and soaking in the hot springs, you can also visit the lovely Bear Ranch! After coming out of Jigoku Onsen, take a short rest at the hotel and then head to the Bear Ranch! It's worth the trip! You can play in the snow when you go there in winter~ We stayed at Daiichi Takimoto. When we went there, the hotel's shuttle bus took us there. On the way back, we just walked back along the hot spring street. Although it is a bear ranch, there are many other small animals. You can take the cable car, feed the big bears, play in the snow, visit the museum... You won't feel bored for a whole afternoon~ It's very suitable for parent-child travel! As soon as you enter the Bear Ranch, there is a small shop. After buying tickets next to the shop, you can take the cable car! On the cable car, you can also see a cable car specially loaded with dried fish, which is probably the food for the bears. Buy small biscuits to feed the big bears. In order to eat biscuits, the bears act cute and fight against counterfeits... After eating a curry rice in the restaurant, we visited the Bear Museum. Walking to the end of the ranch, you will see many thatched houses, which are like entering another world, very suitable for taking pictures! Along the way, you can see the beautiful scenery of the sea and sky! Although this attraction is a bit childish compared to other attractions in Japan, and even not very playable, it is still very interesting to be able to jump in the snow and experience different projects~ After leaving the ranch, continue to take the cable car back. You can go to the store of the bear ranch to buy some souvenirs. There are many Rilakkuma... On the way back, you can stroll around the hot spring street, eat snacks, and play with capsule toys~
The Bear Ranch was something we added to our itinerary at short notice, but it turned out to be surprisingly interesting. The most special activity was of course feeding the bears. If you bought a pack of biscuits and called them, they would stand up and wave at you, as if saying hi to you. The entire ranch is built on a mountain and requires a cable car ride to reach it. The famous saying "Beware of bears" originated from this. The ranch is divided into the First Ranch, the Second Ranch, and the Little Bear Ranch. There are also museums and souvenir shops in the park. You can buy bear feed from the shops or vending machines in the park.
