Old Courthouse Museum

If you are doing genealogy in this area, you need to stop here.

I've researched here several times. Very helpful volunteers - lots of open shelf books on local and area genealogy. They also have a great obituary index - found a couple of things I was looking for...

Not there anymore

We went to visit the old courthouse and when we walked in it was no longer there, just a empty room. There is a geneology room upstairs, but we didn't go there.

It is open!

The Genealogical Library IS open, but call first....for the museum, go to the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame building on Front Street and go upstairs to the Northwest Louisiana Historical Museum

This place is CLOSED! We saw it on the tourist map,looked interesting. Exterior of building is neat.
