A superb view spot that you can enjoy twice a year. We recommend going in summer and autumn. The contrast between the autumn leaves and the snow-capped Northern Alps and the blue sky was the best.
A superb view spot where you can see the Togakushi mountain range, Ichiya mountains, and the Northern Alps on the pass in Onimura. It is a little-known spot, probably because of access.
I went through winter because there was little snow.

It is a pass on Prefectural Road 36 that connects Togakushi and Onimura. There was little snow, so I passed when I passed through Hakuba from Togakushi through Onimura. It seems dangerous when the amount of snow is normal. The view from the observatory was the village of onimura village under my eyes, the mountain of Togakushi 々 on my right hand, and the northern Alps in the distance.
It is literally located on a pass with a wonderful view It is located on the border between the former Togakushi village and the former Onimura village on the way from Togakushi to Kinasa. Both are now part of Nagano City. You can see the steep mountains of Mt. Togakushi 々. The Northern Alps is also a place where you can see it well, but unfortunately I couldn't see it because it was covered with clouds in the summer afternoon. If you look at the Northern Alps, in the morning I think it's better to see the early hours of the day.
It was fresh with a completely different view from the mountain 々 you want from downtown Nagano. I visited for the first time, but it's the scenery behind the usual familiar mountain 々. It's not well maintained as an observatory and there's no place to buy souvenirs, but you can get a wonderful view as long as it's sunny.
