Excellent

The Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, also known as the King's Mosque, was commissioned by the 29th Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and opened on July 14, 1994 (to commemorate his 25th year on the throne and his 48th birthday). It is Brunei's largest and most luxurious modern mosque, located in the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan. The 29 golden domes correspond to the 29th Sultan, while the 7 arches and 15 fountains allude to his birthday on July 15th. It is said that the 29 domes were made with 45 kilograms of 24K gold, truly extravagant. The four 57-meter-high light blue minarets are decorated with Italian marble, Austrian crystal chandeliers, Persian carpets, and more. Admission is free, but please note the visiting hours: 08:00–12:00 and 14:00–15:00. Shoes must be removed at the entrance; free robes are available for entry. Information must be registered at the entrance. The main prayer room inside is also open to visitors, but please keep quiet once inside. It's quite large and beautiful, and worth a look.
