Located in the building of the Hokkaido Okhotsk Drift Ice Science Center, it feels like a bonus facility, and although there are shops, the number of souvenirs is small and it is not very attractive. Regardless of those who are visiting the roadside stations, if you don't intend to stop by the Okhotsk Drift Ice Science Center, I thought it would be a facility that you could pass.

道の駅と言うよりも、併設されている「科学館」がメインな感じの道の駅でした。

自宅からクルマで自走、時計回りで北海道１周の旅４日目の宿泊が紋別だったので、紋別周辺の見どころを探していたところ「道の駅 オホーツク紋別」があるとの事なので行ってみた。 ここ、道の駅と言うよりも、併設されている「科学館」がメインな感じの道の駅でした。 なので、お土産などの種類や展示は少ないです・・・

オホーツク流氷科学センターとカニの爪

お土産屋があるのかなとカニの爪のモニュメントを目印に車で行ってみると、トイレと自動販売機があるだけでした。しかし、敷地内にある北海道立オホーツク流氷科学センターの展示内容は充実していて、お土産も売っています。
