Take a stroll in the park and surrounding area after visiting the peace museum
After visiting the Peace Museum and the History Museum, take a stroll in the park and nearby gardens. There are many statues, monuments and a few plane displays. Unlike in the museum, the park is free...
we visited during sakura, it definitely added a mystical charm to the space. Nice park to roam with seniors/young children. It's quite flatted ground. There's some touristy shops (with food), and ampl...
Replicas of airplanes used for special attacks and training are on display in the park. Also, at the Chiran Special Attack Peace Hall, it was gathered in a specific dormitory a few days before the special attack was carried out, and the members spent time drinking and writing letters to their families, and some people were whining and crying in the middle of the night. There is a commentary did. It was a very sad story. A lot of cherry blossoms were planted. This is a place I would like to visit in spring.
The site of Chiran Airport where the Special Attack Corps took off is literally a peaceful park. There are also aspect of the memorial hall, including the exhibition of fighter aircraft, the restored barracks, and the many cherry trees that retain the memory of the war with Gokoku Shrine, as well as the athletic park.
There are Chiran Peace Hall and several statues and stone monuments.

After looking around the gardens of the samurai residences in Chiran, we headed south to Chiran Peace Park, about 4km. In the large park, there were statues of special attack warriors, several statues, monuments, peace bells, peace Kannon-do and Gokoku Shrine in the front yard of the Chiran Peace Hall. In addition, on the south side of the park, it was a large park with sports facilities such as a baseball stadium.
