🌸 Osmanthus—The City Wears Golden Armor
In October, the fragrance of osmanthus permeates every street and alley in Kunming. These treasure spots offer immersive experiences of osmanthus romance:
- Jinbi Scenic Area: Dozens of osmanthus trees surround the century-old bronze hall, with golden petals complementing the ancient bronze architecture, creating a unique “double gold landscape.” Strolling the ancient temple while smelling osmanthus blends Zen and poetic charm.
- Heilongtan Park: The highlight is the century-old osmanthus tree group by the pond, with more than ten golden and silver osmanthus trees blooming competitively. The fragrance mingles with the fresh air from the pond, perfect for morning exercise or leisurely walks.
- Xihua Park: Over 500 osmanthus trees form a dedicated “fragrance zone,” with benches and picnic areas beneath. Invite friends for a picnic accompanied by osmanthus scent for ultimate relaxation.
- Tanhua Temple Park: Osmanthus fragrance perfectly blends with the tranquil atmosphere of the ancient temple, with petals scattered among dark tiles and red walls, making every photo naturally filtered with an ancient style.

📸 Photo Outfit & Travel Tips
Outfit Suggestions
- Clothing: Light-colored long dresses (white, beige, light blue) are most photogenic; also try forest-style workwear or ancient-style clothing for better harmony with flower seas and ancient temples.
- Accessories: Straw hats, canvas bags, pearl earrings, and similar small items enhance refinement; matching scarves in the same color scheme help with morning and evening temperature changes.
Travel Reminders
- Lighting: Prefer shooting before 9 a.m. or after 3 p.m. to avoid overexposure from direct strong light.
- Protection: Autumn UV rays remain strong; remember to apply high-SPF sunscreen. Mosquitoes are common in parks, so bring mosquito repellent or floral water.
- Transportation: Popular parks (Tanhua Temple, Daguan Pavilion) are accessible by subway or bus; off-peak travel is recommended to avoid weekend crowds. For Fubao Village or Taiping Lake, driving or carpooling is more convenient.

Taiping Lake Forest Town is absolutely stunning, like stepping into a fairytale. My favorite spots are "In the Clouds," "Zixia Lake," and Monet's Garden—every photo is a true masterpiece. Taiping Lake was a truly worthwhile trip to Mile! You can rent electric carts within the scenic area, which is incredibly convenient! The restrooms are also incredibly clean, and the brown sugar ginger tea is incredibly thoughtful and warm!
The park is huge. We rented a four-seater electric car at the starting point. Having a car is great. We wandered around the park. First, we saw the bougainvillea flower wall, then the flower statue of Princess Taiping from a high vantage point. Then we went to the lily field. The fragrance was amazing and beautiful! The lake in the park is very quiet and perfect for lounging. Finally, we went to the desertification area. The cacti, prickly pear, pine trees, and red maple trees were beautiful.
I didn't have high hopes before coming here, but after entering, I found that the scenery was super beautiful, suitable for checking in and taking photos. There are also many service items inside. The park is very large, and you can really spend a whole day there. The ticket price is standard and the price-performance ratio is okay. Maybe the park is relatively large, and some things are still not up to par and need to be improved. Some projects will be suspended due to weather conditions, and the ticket inspectors at the door will explain this in advance.
Yunnan's "Little Switzerland" that guarantees great photos‼ Don't miss this big tree when you go to Mile🌳 Nature is full of energy and can help us relieve anxiety and uneasiness You need to spend 20 minutes in the park regularly Go out to bask in the sun or sit under a tree Hidden in silence, feel the healing of spring green — The niche treasure Taiping Lake 🌳Start from Kunming🚗It can be reached in 2 hours! The first time I went to the park, the Zundu is very big, and I can waste a whole day It's very photogenic all the way, easy to take photos, and you can easily take photos Taiping Lake Forest Cabin Hotel is very suitable for a family vacation~ #Niche Travel Destinations#MiLe#Where to Go on Weekends#Good Places for Surrounding Tours#Kunming Surrounding Tours#MiLe Taiping Lake#Taiping Lake Forest Cabin Hotel#MiLe Taiping Lake International Ecological Tourism Resort#Photography#Barn Style Outfits
The real grass field flower sea, the flower mountains and clear water, it is recommended and worth seeing! The two of us went, it was really lingering!
[Scenery] Very beautiful! [Cost-effectiveness] Very high
It's very big inside, the flower fields have been renovated, and you can see that there were large flower fields before. It's just that it's gone this season. It's very big inside, and it's good to take pictures in the desertification garden because it's very big and you can see different kinds of cacti, cycads and cacti. It's too big inside, so I suggest taking a small train. It saves time and effort. The fried potatoes at the food festival are delicious and large. The bougainvillea is very beautiful. The road leading to the bathroom is full of small yellow flowers, which is very beautiful. You can take pictures and check in
First of all, there is a policy that people born in the Year of the Dragon are exempt from entrance fees, which is a good deal. Take a car to the entrance. Because it is very large, it is recommended to rent an electric car. The electric car is not cheap, 25 yuan for half an hour, and 70 cents per minute after that. We rented one, which was not easy to ride but generally convenient. Many people took pictures. Many flowers have bloomed recently, and it is okay to take pictures. To be honest, you can only take good pictures of Ashima with a drone. The pictures are all very beautiful and I had fun.
