That's it, put your love in your backpack and measure the world with your feet. We've been to Tunisia, Morocco, and Egypt, where will we go next? Let's look forward to it together!
The scenery of the desert before sunset is beautiful. If the physical strength is OK, it is strongly recommended to climb to the top of the dune. Although it is still an endless desert to see from the top of the dune, the condescending perspective is different. The feeling is not felt at the foot of the dune.
[Merzouga Desert] The Sahara Desert covers more than a dozen countries in northern Africa, so it is the world's largest desert. Merzouga, the gate to the Sahara Desert, is a small desert village in southeastern Morocco. It has the largest natural groundwater in Morocco and is inhabited by the Berbers of Morocco. There are three types of desert tour routes: two days and one night; three days and two nights; four days and three nights. The [two days and one night] tour does not go to the Merzouga Desert because the journey is too far. They all go to Zagora. You can find it on the map. According to online reviews, the experience is very poor. There is no real desert unless you go deep. You can still see it, but the two-day and one-night tour you signed up for will not allow you to go that deep because there is not enough time. There are also horse-in and horse-out or Philippine-in and Philippine-out tours in the two-day and one-night tour, but that basically delays the road and the experience is not good. [Three days and two nights tour] Stay in Ouarzazate on the first night, and you can visit Ben Haddou Village on the way. Arrive at the Merzouga camp in the afternoon of the second day, and ride a camel into the desert about an hour before the sun sets. On the morning of the third day, we left the desert and returned to the camp. We drove to Fez and stopped at the town of Ifrane. The [Four Days and Three Nights] is basically a combination of the first two, with a few adjustments. There are several options for the route: Main Feichu (most tourists who walk counterclockwise choose this) Fechu in Machu (most tourists who walk clockwise choose this) Main Machu and Feichu (guests who only want to play in the desert in a short time choose this) Currently, there are only two open dunes: Erg Chebbi and Erg Chegaga. The three-day and two-night tours are basically the Qibi Dunes, which are closest to the Merzuka camp and the most convenient.
Came here on March 5, 2019. The so-called "Merzouka Desert" is actually the part of the Sahara Desert in Merzouka, which is close to the border between Morocco and Algeria. Entering the desert along the highway, as the car sped, I soon found that there was no road under my feet. It seems free, but I can't help but worry in my heart, will I get lost if I drive randomly? When the weather is good, the desert looks like a quiet world, but when the wind blows, the wind and sand in the sky will still make tourists feel scared. The desert in the middle of the night is even more deserted, because there is no light pollution, and you can see the sky full of stars, which is a very rare landscape for tourists living in the city. There is no shelter in the desert, and it is very dry. Both men and women should pay attention to sun protection and moisturizing, otherwise it is easy to get skin sunburn, herpes and other problems. Everyone should be careful.
We stayed in tents on the edge of the dunes and the camels walked up. The last part of the way to the top was a flat hike but the views were great and well worth it. We went there to watch the sunset and there was no traffic noise. They may be a little small but they looked huge from the top.
The Sahara Desert, where Sanmao wrote and lived, is often used as the entrance to the Sahara and the dream place of literary young women. The sand dunes here are of various shapes and heights, forming an extraordinary landscape. Ride a camel and stroll on the sand dunes, climb high and watch the sunset, and watch the color of the sand change with the light. Go to the sand dunes to enjoy the desert sunset and embark on the journey of the flower sister. The waves are too strong to shake. Walk in the desert, stroll on the fine sand dunes, stop quietly and enjoy the afterglow of the sunset. A moment of touch makes you feel that the world is so great.
