Explore the exoticism of Morocco and the excitement of a multi-country tour, don't miss out!
Meknes does not have an airport. It only takes half an hour by train from Fez. The old city of Meknes is full of ancient charm. The city walls, the city gates, the small shops one after another, the unique items are irresistible. The little donkey ticks and runs past us, as if we have returned to the Middle Ages.
The scale is definitely not as large as the ancient cities of Fez and Marrakech, but the things sold in it are the same, clothes, daily necessities, food, leather goods, spices, etc. It also feels dirty, the only advantage is that it is not easy to get lost.
The ancient city of Meknes has a 25-kilometer-long wall, which is the longest, most complete, most complex and richest ancient wall in Morocco and is a world cultural heritage. The city gate is very distinctive.
Compared with other ancient cities in Morocco, the ancient city of Meknes is much quieter. Although it is less noisy and bustling, it does not affect the charm of the small city at all. Personally, I think this is a very comfortable place to stroll around.
The ancient city is old but has flavor, especially for history lovers.
