A hall designed by the world-famous architect "Toyoo Ito". Mediatheque in Sendai, Mikimoto in Ginza, and Todz in Omotesando may be more famous, but I personally highly recommend this hall. The space with the light inserted from the mysteriously shaped frosted glass and the gradient wine red carpet is the best. I envy Matsumoto citizens who have such a hall. .. ..

To be honest, I never thought Matsumoto had such a wonderful theater. The hall was on five floors and was like a European opera house.

建築だけでも

本来用途は音楽や演劇ですが、伊東豊雄さんの建築を見に訪問しました。モチーフを見てすぐにそれとわかる台中のオペラハウスと共通するモチーフを使っています。オペラハウスでもそうでしたが、地域に根ざすことをターゲットの一つにされていると思われ、訪問の敷居が低く、入館してからも自由にくつろげるスペースが豊富に確保されています。実際、訪問時には保育園の子どもたちがホールで先生たちと遊んでいました。その辺りも、...

独自のプログラムも多い意欲的な音楽・演劇ホール

松本から発信することを目指すプログラムが、演劇、クラシック音楽等に多数みられる。ホール自体も、規模が大きく、併設レストランもおしゃれ。欠点はトイレの数が少ないことくらいしか思いつきません。イベントにもよるが、当日券が残っている場合が多いので、トライすべし。芸術監督の串田和美さんがかかわる演劇は、特にお勧め。
