Five years ago, when I was on a business trip to Morocco, I had some free time and went with friends for 1-2 days. The night view was great and the local food was good at a low price at the night market.
Such an amazing mosque, you can feel the real traditions when you get there allowing about half an hour walk straight you find yourself in EL Menara which is another spot worth visiting.
Living near here, it looks beautiful from the outside. There is a big bird's nest near the main road. There are many locals and thieves. Please take care of your belongings and remember to bargain.
The Kutubian Mosque __ is located in Marrakech, the landmark building here, and the center and highest point of the old city of Marrakesh. Built in 1955, the mosque is one of the most beautiful buildings in North Africa. It was built to commemorate the victory over the Spanish. The mosque is not open to people other than Muslims. We only take pictures in the gardens to commemorate our visit.
Kutubia Mosque, one of the most beautiful mosques in North Africa. The sky is very beautiful. The tower is 77 meters high. The houses built in the city can not exceed it. There are many birds in the square. It's very powerful to take pictures when flying together. There are many cats here, too. They are lazy in the sun.
Kutubian Mosque was built in 1195. Its minaret is one of the most beautiful buildings in North Africa. It is said that when the tower was built, nearly 10,000 bags of precious spices were mixed in the materials to give off a strong fragrance, so it is also known as "Xiangta". The reason why the proclamator who climbed the tower to call people to pray must be blind was to prevent people from taking the opportunity to peep at the concubines in the backyard of the nearby palace. The aroma of the pagoda can't be smelled now. The once large mosque left only part of it for Muslims to pray and not for visitors. The square in front of the mosque is where the local people enjoy their leisure activities.
Through the ancient city wall, the distant minaret is the Kutubian mosque, also a non-Muslim refused to enter, wandering around, no surprise feeling, looks like muddy khaki, the right part has collapsed, the Bayi Palace is not far from here, the appearance is quite simple, and the nearby Jemafna Square is just "smoke" chaotic, unspeakable disturbance.
The place is easy to find. You can see it not far away along the Agno Gate. On the main road, you can distinguish the new city from the old city. I didn't go inside, but it was enough to look at it from the outside. There are many horse-drawn carriages nearby. The angle of view from the side is good, and it is more suitable to stand on a high place to take pictures. It is an iconic attraction, opposite to the Djemaa el Fna Square.
