This has been my favorite tourist destination in Marrakech. More peaceful than the YSL garden and good place to learn about the history and traditional decorating styles of Morocco
We arrived in January, the temperature was comfortable, there were not many tourists in the morning, many people came to visit and take pictures, it felt very comfortable. The exquisite roof and wall mosaic patterns are bright and beautiful. Those who are interested are recommended to visit in the morning when there are fewer tourists.
The Bahia Palace is not very old and is well preserved. The buildings look quite new, but it is a bit strange that there is not much furniture in the house. The stained glass windows are very beautiful, and the interior decoration is typical Moroccan style.
The Palace of Bahia was built at the end of the nineteenth century and was the largest and most magnificent palace building in Morocco at that time. It is a very grand palace, built in the late 19th century, known as the "Palace of Wisdom". Most importantly, it only takes 10 dirhams to enter the palace.
Bhaia means wisdom. Ironically, it wasn't long before the dynasty was overthrown and the interior furniture was looted. The whole building reflects the outlook of noble life. A circle of houses surrounds the patio. Only for the future generations left behind the typical Islamic and Moroccan coexistence of the building.
I went there in February 2019, and some places were being renovated when I got there. There are a lot of orange trees at the entrance. Workers are shaking the trees, and tourists can pick oranges all over the ground (oranges in Morocco can be found everywhere). [Ticket Price] The ticket price is 70 dirhams per adult. Many guides on apps say 10 dirhams. It will be updated soon. [Area] The palace is quite large, with courtyards connected one by one. There are some dark little houses with courtyards. Walking along the road, there is a relatively large atrium. The bricks and tiles and door beams around it are all unique. [Photography] Although it is not the peak season, this attraction is also iconic, so there are still many tourists. I don’t think you need to wait a long time for a large scene, and it is nice to take photos on the tiles or passages.
Wang's wife is so busy eating together. Unfortunately, all the items inside were moved away. I can't imagine the grand occasion at that time. In fact, it's good to put some photos and text explanations. That's just to see the houses and decorations inside are still decorated and hovering back to the hotel, where people's homes are tired. How can we turn around seven or eight times just casually to see the pictures taken here and wear bright colors?
