based on 58706 reviewsThe museum is located in an old building and has quite a lot of exhibits, but it can be a bit disorienting to explore. It's worth checking out if you like painting. Photography is not allowed inside. Retiro Park is nearby, so you can also visit it.
• Boast numerous Spanish and European collections, as famous as the Louvre Museum and the British National Gallery
• Visit permanent and temporary exhibitions and have in-depth exchanges with the creative artists
• Collect works of Michelangelo and Raphael among the "Three Masters of the Renaissance"

△ The Prado Museum, the Reina Sofia National Art Center and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum of Art are known as "Madrid Art Golden Triangle".

△ The main part of the Prado Museum is the Palacio de Villanueva (Palacio de Villanueva), built in 1785, which is a model of neoclassical architecture. The facade is supported by Greek-style white columns, with a bronze statue of Velazquez holding a pen and meditating, facing the Prado Avenue.

△ The Prado Museum has three floors. If time is limited, you can go up to the first floor to appreciate the key paintings, and then go downstairs to the ground floor. In addition, decorative arts and tableware are displayed on the second floor of the attic and basement.

A fantastic experience, but also very physically demanding. A quick visit takes about 2.5 hours, while a more in-depth exploration would require around 4 hours. The signage is clear, and I recommend renting a Chinese audio guide at the ticket counter for greater efficiency.
Booking tickets on Ctrip was very convenient, at least in China, because it's easier to do online than on the official website. While the price was a bit high, it was worth it. The only downside was that while I was told my booking would allow me to enter directly, I actually had to redeem my ticket at the designated ticket window. I hope Ctrip can fix this.
This museum located in the center of Madrid, the capital of Spain, is considered one of the greatest museums in the world and the most comprehensive and authoritative art gallery for Spanish paintings. It houses art treasures from Spain, Flemish and Italian art from the 15th to 19th centuries. The purpose of the museum is the same as that of the Louvre, which is to promote the art treasures that were originally owned and appreciated by a very small number of royal families, nobles or church members. At that time, the Enlightenment movement in Europe was booming, and this art dissemination concept was being implemented under the impetus of the French Revolution. There are more than 100 exhibition rooms in the museum, displaying more than 3,000 works of art from the 12th to 18th centuries. The museum houses Picasso's huge oil painting "Guernica", which is considered a national treasure of Spain. The museum also houses classical sculptures, coins, gold, silver and enamelware. The Oriental Palace is one of the most complete and exquisite palaces in existence. It was built in 1738 and is comparable to the Palace of Versailles in France. It is square with a side length of about 150 meters and has a typical French style. There are the Imperial Dining Room, Porcelain Hall, Throne Room and Chapel in the palace. The Royal Library on the ground floor has a collection of 300,000 books. It houses works by masters of painting such as Velázquez, Goya, El Greco, Zorbarán, Ribera, Ribata, Titian, Raphael, Botticelli, Farah Angeligo, Rubens, Bosch, Von der Weyden, Poussen, Rollari, Watteau, Rebrandt, Dur, Mans, etc. Like many world-class museums, photography is not allowed in the Prado Museum, but the museum has prepared headsets for visitors, 3.5 euros per person, and tickets are 14 euros.
Last weekend's free discount period, hurried to line up to see, the collection is quite rich, in fact, there are many boutiques, unfortunately, the museum does not have a Chinese version of the book, but there is a guide map in Chinese, we spent two-thirds of an hour on this guide to see all the famous goods. I think there are some famous paintings about the cruelty of religion in Prado, as well as the paintings of some famous painters in Spain. There are also ancient imitations of the Mona Lisa painting, in fact, not bad, compared to the Louvre crowds, here the Mona Lisa is so cold. Because the Spanish royal family was inherited by the Bourbons, there are also many Renaissance paintings favored by the French royal family and paintings of some French schools. Generally speaking, it's good to spend an hour on the sidewalk.
I bought a three-ticket ticket on Ctrip for 259 yuan, which includes three museums, including the Prado, Queen Sofia Center, and Thyssen. It's not expensive, and the collections are all fine, which is worth it. Think about it, on this barbecue day, walk into the museum, stop in front of these cultural heritages and exquisite paintings, admire them carefully, listen to the relevant creation background and origin stories, and understand the author's painting techniques, concepts, and status in painting history. Clear eyes, comfortable thoughts, and broaden your horizons. Especially the author's name, style, and status of the painting school, which further increases the price and value of each painting in front of you. Let the viewer be in the same frame with the high-level, and the value of oneself is also rising. Regardless of whether you understand it or not, it always increases the value of personal life. The common point of the three museums is that most of them are famous works by famous artists. The Prado and Thyssen collections are mostly classical paintings, which are natural, real, and delicate, visible to the naked eye, and everyone likes them. Half of the Thyssen Museum is modern paintings, arranged in order of genres, with 58 rooms from beginning to end. The Reina Sofia Art Center Museum is full of modern and contemporary paintings. The first impression is that I can't understand them. Some people require you to understand paintings and art; I say that you should read paintings and your mood. What you are like is a personal feeling, so why force it. The Prado Museum strictly prohibits taking photos and taking away private property. The Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Museum is a purely private collection museum. The two sponsors are solemn and majestic, and their portraits stand in the lobby. It has a rich collection of classical and modern paintings, so you can take pictures at will.
The Museo del Prado Museo is near the Atocha station of the Metro. It is about 15 minutes'walk southeast of Sun Gate Square. On the way through the Spanish House of Representatives, you can see the sea god fountain and cross the road eastward. The Prado Museum is the most complete Museum of Spanish art, especially the works of Venezuela and Goya. In addition, it also includes the works of famous artists such as Raphael, Titian and El Greco. When we went, the main entrance to the west of the museum was under repair. We had to buy tickets from the North side. The tickets were 14 euros per person. Access to museums requires storage bags and no water. It is stipulated that photography and photography are not allowed, but there is no restriction on the entry of cameras. The Museum has a total of 0 to 34 floors, as well as the adjacent Geronimos church. Important exhibits are mainly displayed on the 0th and 1st floors. Even a rough look will take about 3 hours. Museum provides Chinese maps and voice guidance, according to their interests to choose the focus.
A very professional and rich collection of art galleries, highlighted in Goya, Venezuela, Rubens and Solola, as well as the Da Vinci Louvre of the same Mona Lisa, the background picture is very different, mysterious smile is still, it can be seen that Julio Iglesias love song was aimed at her Madrid. Tickets 15 euros, 18-20 o'clock free, no photo, backpack required deposit.
