The Lushan Conference was an important meeting held after the founding of New China. It was famous because many national leaders (Peng Dehuai, Zhang Wentian, etc.) were overthrown after this meeting. The old site has now become a memorial hall and is open to the public free of charge.
The Lushan Conference Site is one of the most well-known cultural attractions in the scenic area. It is located next to Guling Town. It was originally a local theater. It is famous all over the world for an important meeting of our party and is open to tourists free of charge.
The Lushan Conference Site was built in 1935 and completed in 1937. After the founding of New China, it was renamed Lushan People's Theater. Since 1959, the CPC Central Committee has held three important meetings here, namely the Eighth Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee in 1959, the Central Working Conference in 1961 and the Second Plenary Session of the Ninth Central Committee in 1970. The site was officially opened to the public in 1985 and was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 1996. It is also one of the important bases for patriotism education.
The Lushan Conference Site is a place worth visiting in Lushan. It is one of the three major buildings in Lushan. To be precise, it is one of the three major buildings in the Republic of China. In that era, the three famous buildings in Lushan were Chuanxi Xueshe, Library and Lushan Auditorium. Lushan Auditorium was the original name of the Lushan Conference Site. The Lushan Auditorium began construction in 1935 and was completed after two years. It became an important base for the "owner" at that time and had a very high status. It is an important cultural landscape in Lushan. Although I didn't walk into the building, I still saw the two-story architectural structure of the Lushan Conference Site when I looked up. From the front, the windows on the upper floor are very large, and the lighting performance should be good. There are three arched doors on the lower floor, which are similar to the ancient city gates, and the architectural style has a taste of combining Chinese and Western styles. From the side, there are small windows covered with blue glazed tiles under the eaves. The total building area is about 4,000 square meters, reflecting the architectural art style of that era. It is a national cultural relic protection unit. From the former Lushan Grand Auditorium to the later Lushan People's Theater, the building has gone through more than 80 years of ups and downs, leaving behind the accumulation of an era. Outside the old conference site, there are gurgling streams and dense vegetation. The exterior combines Chinese and Western architectural art styles, and the interior is gorgeous. The whole is based on the natural landscape of Lushan. As early as 1996, it was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit.
The Lushan Conference Site is a place where you can admire the great achievements of revolutionary martyrs and historical figures. It is not only the essence of Lushan, but also a must-visit place for everyone who travels to Lushan. The "Lushan Conference" site, which integrates the architectural arts of the East and the West, has a unique style. It is backed by green mountains, built by the water, facing south, surrounded by streams, and the site selection is very particular, permeated with strong traditional concepts.
The Lushan Conference Site was built in 1935 and completed in 1937. It is one of the "three major buildings in Lushan (Chuanxixueshe, Library, Lushan Auditorium)" during the Republic of China period. It was designed by Chinese engineer Gao Guansi and built by Shanghai Huashen Company. Chiang Kai-shek had lectured officers of the Kuomintang army here many times. It was an important base for Chiang Kai-shek to train and cultivate backbones. After the founding of New China, this building was renamed Lushan People's Theater. Since 1959, the CPC Central Committee has held three important meetings here, namely the Eighth Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the CPC in 1959, the Central Working Conference in 1961 and the Second Plenary Session of the Ninth Central Committee of the CPC in 1970. The site was officially opened to the public in 1985 and was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 1996. It is also one of the important bases for patriotic education.
The Lushan Conference Site is a must-see when visiting Lushan, and there are many tour groups. What happened in the low-key hall building determined the turbulent Chinese history in the past thirty years. The first floor is for display and exhibition, with historical photos and document photocopies or originals, carefully stating historical events. The Lushan Conference was actually held many times. The scene restoration on the second floor is based on the Second Plenary Session of the Ninth Central Committee. Three of the five people on the rostrum were fired, which is very touching. There is also a building next to it, the Lushan Anti-Japanese War Memorial. It is still quite far from Guling Street, and there is a stop for tourist sightseeing buses.
