Wembley Stadium - London
Wembley Stadium is a legendary concert and sports venue. It is located in the north-west of the British capital, in the Brent area. Now the stadium is called New Wembley, as it was built on the site of the old site. Old Wembley Stadium was built in 1923 and lasted 80 years. In 2007, the New Wembley was built on the same site. The stadium has become legendary because of many sport events and concerts were held here. Since its opening, Wembley has hosted the 1948 Olympic Games, a number of FA Cup matches, the 1966 FIFA World Cup, the 1996 European World Cup, as well as numerous iconic concerts.
Wembley Stadium now accommodates up to 90,000 spectators. It has the second largest capacity in Europe, after Barcelona's Camp Nou, which has a capacity of 99,354.
