The Jeffrey Museum, originally built for the elderly and the poor, was in Hoxton, East London, in the early eighteenth century. It is now a first-class conservation building. It is decorated in a series of contemporary styles and visually displays the evolution of life of the urban middle class in England.
If you like history or art, I suggest you go to the Jeffrey Museum. There are mummies, Raymond and Beverly Sackler Galleries on the top floor, historical and cultural exhibitions in Japan, many precious statues and pottery. After visiting, you can have a look in the nearby park.
Great opportunity to see life in England's middle class for 4 centuries, huge rooms displaying years of original furniture. Seeing enough to make the trip worthwhile without leaving you tired. An excellent museum, informative and enjoyable visit.
The Jeffrey Museum is an interior design museum that mainly displays the history of interior design in England. The name of the museum is in memory of the businessman and Mayor of London, Sir Robert Jeffrey. A particularly interesting museum can see the historical changes of British houses, and the gardens are wonderful.
