Kunsan City Buyin Plateau Sunflower
Original Text
In August 2023, I went to see sunflowers in Nunobiki Kogen, Koriyama City. It seems that the time of full bloom was a little late this year due to the small rain. There was a free corner up to 3 sunflowers. There was also a wind power generation facility. Sunflowers were in full bloom.
I couldn't find the address in this place, so I entered the address of the electric shop 10km in front of the Google Map in the navigation system. There was an information board at the key points. And we're planting sunflowers, so we'll bloom someday.
It was hard to drive. There are a lot of windmills.

There is a distance until you arrive at the plateau, and driving on the mountain road is quite difficult. Sunflowers haven't bloomed yet, but there are a lot of wind power generation. This is a masterpiece. The weather wasn't a little good, so I couldn't see the beautiful scenery. The Nunobiki-style plateau is a large and relaxing place. I would like to go at a good time.
The collaboration between sunflowers and windmills is beautiful.

I arrived at Nunobiki Kogen. The sunflowers in Sannokura were not good this year, so I was a little worried, but they were in full bloom. Located in the south of Lake Inawashiro, it is a plateau with an altitude of about 1,000m, and is a great location with a panoramic view of Mt. Bandai and Lake Inawashiro. Sunflowers look good with 33 huge windmills, one of Japan's largest wind power plants. It feels like I've been coming every year for 11 years. ^^;
This is a viewpoint recommended by the Koriyama City Tourism Association. It was located on the south side of Lake Inawashiro and it was difficult to understand the entrance from the main road, but I was surprised that there was such a superb view at the end of the mountain road. There were many windmills for wind power generation around the large sunflower field, which was also a superb view. You can see Lake Inawashiro in the distant view and Mt. Bandai beyond. At the special store, we enjoyed the local specialty konjac and atsuage green onion soy sauce while breathing in the good air of the plateau.

No sunflowers. Shock!
