A place for romance
The ruins of the great abbey church are on the site of the present complex, with impressive gates. It is on the road uphill from Konigswinter to the suburbs of Heisterbacherrott, in the Siebengebirge ...
Impressive ruins that one should definitely have seen. One can well imagine what the complete church must have looked like. There is a large free parking place and a restaurant nearby.
We took a small visit to this place to take a walk around the property. We had been there in the morning and it was vey quite so we could enjoy the entire place.
Through a porche you walk into a world of silence. What must have been a joy to live here. Inside the restaurant you can study how the buildings were many years ago. Well kept.
