Kashima City

Located in the center of Hizen Kashima, it is now a high school. The surrounding area is also a park and shrine, and it has a peaceful atmosphere for the city.
It is a bicycle rental visit. It's a few minutes from the JR station. There are a few stone walls left, but now it's a castle ruins park. There are many monuments.
The ruins of the Nabeshima family of the Kashima clan, a branch clan of the Saga clan. It is now a school and a park, but stone walls and Otemon gates remain. There are a few remains of samurai residences, but there is not much remnants of the castle town.
The Saga Rebellion of Shinpei Eto before the Seinan War is famous, but I feel the history of the record that there was a battle here and it disappeared. There were moats and stone walls to see, and it was well understood that they were treated as daimyo as a branch clan of the Nabeshima clan.
I stayed at a hotel near Kashima Station, so I visited by taxi early in the morning. It was good that the taxi driver explained the location. I enjoyed it as much as killing time, but there was no building because of the site.
