　It is a temple of the Hokke sect located in the temples at the foot of Mt. Utatsu in Higashiyama, Kanazawa City. The last temple of Honnoji in Kyoto, known for the Honnoji Incident. According to the local explanation version, Honkoji Temple was founded in this area where the founder of Honnoji Temple, Hitaka Shonin, was born. Among them, the Sanmon is the largest Yakuimon gate among the Utatsuyama Sanroku temples, and is a cultural property designated by Kanazawa City.
