Xue's Residence is located in the middle of West Street in Xitang Ancient Town, Jiashan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. It was built in 1926 by Xue's family after the fire. It is located in the prosperous commercial center of the ancient town, facing the street in front and the river in the back. It is a typical commercial and residential residence in the ancient water town of Jiangnan. It is beautifully built and still in good use. It is now a cultural relic protection unit in Jiashan County. Xitang is a famous button town in China, so Xue's Residence is now used as the China Button Museum.
