Winter Wonderland at Princes' Islands, Istanbul!
If you think the Princes' Islands in Istanbul are only pretty in summer — girl, let me tell you, winter turns them into a cozy, magical wonderland!
I hopped on the ferry (so exciting!) with the chilly breeze in my hair and a hot tea in my hand, already feeling like a little explorer.
When we arrived, everything looked straight out of a winter storybook — charming old mansions, winding car-free streets, and tall pine trees swaying gently in the crisp air.
The horse carriages clip-clopped along quietly, and the island felt peaceful, like the world had slowed down just for us. The sea shimmered under a soft winter sun, and the hills were wrapped in misty layers that made everything feel a little mysterious... and a lot dreamy!
Walking around, bundled up in my coat and scarf, I couldn’t stop smiling.
Princes' Islands in winter? 100% magical, cozy, and unforgettable!

A nice day trip from the madness of Istanbul. You can take ferries of varying speeds and prices, but allow *at least* half a day for the round trip. Many of the islands feel like they are transplanted from a hundred years ago. Crazy to think such a relaxed, mellow place is only a few kilometers from one of the busiest metropolises in the world.
This is the Prince Islands located in the Sea of Marmara. There are 3 small islands in total. Let’s go to the largest island, Büyükada (Big Island). In Turkish, it means Big Island. It’s very straightforward 😆 I love the island where you can ride a bicycle leisurely, have beautiful houses, many cute cats, natural beauty, very clear sea water (jellyfish are non-toxic), and leisurely fishing with my husband. All these do not require spending a lot of money, it is simple happiness❤️
Turkey inspection | Good morning everyone | Repost last night's sunset, the hotel location is very good, the sunset is also very good, go shopping and there are always unexpected surprises, the feeling is: Turkish handsome guys are very open, willing to devote themselves to you every minute, and always say if you are not married... Prince Island is very romantic
Princes' Islands used to be the place where the Turkish king imprisoned the prince. Now it is the largest of the five islands. It takes about 2 hours to take the ferry to Princes' Islands. The boat is not fast and the environment on the boat is also very good. It is clean and sanitary. The air in Princes' Islands is very fresh. There is no car, only horses. You can take a horse-drawn carriage to visit. The environment on the island is very beautiful. Small villas are hidden behind dense trees. Coffee shops and small restaurants filled with flowers are hidden in inconspicuous places. There are all kinds of flowers and plants on both sides of the road. It is very fresh, but there is no prince. Where is the promised Princes' Islands?
I personally think that the environment of Prince Island is very beautiful and suitable for couples to spend their honeymoon, because the small villas on the island are very beautiful and can be rented in advance. The restaurants on the shore are also good, but there are not many entertainment activities, which is good for cultivating sentiment.
I had nothing to do, so I rented a boat. I originally wanted to enjoy the coastal scenery of the Istanbul Strait, but before I knew it, I arrived at the Princes' Islands. After listening to the captain's story about the origin of the island's name, I was still "alert" (the place where the Byzantine dynasty exiled princes). After I got to the island, I felt that the scenery was very good. The classic route is to take a horse-drawn carriage to tour the entire island (you can stop at any time to enjoy the scenery and take pictures). If you are in good physical condition, you can rent a bicycle or a tandem bicycle. The seafood near the port is very fresh and the price is reasonable. You can eat freshly caught fish from the Marmara Sea for 150 lira per person.
Princes' Islands is an outer island of Istanbul with very charming scenery. There are many residential buildings on the island, most of which have a history of one or two hundred years. It is also a blend of ancient Roman and Ottoman architectures from different periods. It is a very quiet and historical island. You can stay here for two days and take a leisurely tour. You can go to the beach to watch the sunrise and sunset, which is really beautiful.
The Princes' Islands consist of nine islands, four of which are landable. Last time we went to the farthest one, but we came back without going around. This time we decided to go to the third one. The supermarkets on the island sell very cheap things. Apple tea is only 4 liras a box, while the same one we saw in a small supermarket in Istanbul costs 8 liras. We regretted not buying more.
