Qixingtan (Malongayangay in Sakilaya) was originally located east of present-day Hualien Airport. Its name stems from its north-south longitudinal shape, with an L-shaped mouth at the north end and a handle at the south end, roughly resembling the Big Dipper. Crescent Bay (Cikatingan) was where the original Qixingtan residents were relocated by the Japanese. Because they considered themselves Qixingtan natives and missed Qixingtan, they named their new home Qixingtan. Today, Qixingtan is an arc-shaped bay bordering the Pacific Ocean, paved with large and small gravels. Geologically, the beach is steeply sloping, prone to rogue waves, making it one of Taiwan's ten most dangerous waters.
Qixingtan Scenic Area is located in Hualien City. It has a long coastline and a rocky beach. It is a good place to walk on the waves and pick up stones. It is usually visited together with Taroko Park and Qingshui Cliff Scenic Area. Qixingtan Scenic Area also has a bicycle path, where you can ride freely or sit on the beach and daydream. It is a good place to relax.
The sea in front is sunny, and the mountains of Taroko National Park in the back are covered with dark clouds. The waves don't look high at all, but the locals remind us that the waves here are also called crazy dog waves, and if you get too close, you may be swept away. There are soft rocks everywhere, which are the favorite of children. She built a lot of wishing piles and claimed that it was her city, but unfortunately when she ran away to find white soft rocks, her city was destroyed.
Qixingtan is the last stop in Hualien, and also the most pleasant one. From Qixingtan, you can see the Qingshui Cliff in the distance, but the sky was gloomy and we couldn't see the beautiful cliff. We could only sigh in despair. The ocean was angry and rushed to the shore again and again, scaring people to retreat in a hurry. Those who were slow were bitten by it. Looking at the ocean in Taiwan is a bit visually fatigued. It was still early, so I rejuvenated and played with stacking stones. It was too difficult to stack, so I had to ask small stones to help. I also arranged a spelling pattern of "Hualien One-Day Tour" with great interest, which gave me a little sense of accomplishment.
It takes half a day to enjoy the sea view when you come here, listen to the sound of waves hitting the shore, sit on the pebble beach, backed by mountains, occasionally planes fly overhead, facing the Pacific Ocean, what is fascinated? ! You can really experience it. Don't stand near the waves, because you may suddenly have a big wave hit you unexpectedly, and when you react, you are already half wet, and you may even lose your shoes. Of course, even getting wet is an exciting enjoyment. Qixingtan has a long coastline and a wide beach. The strange thing is that most of them are gravel stalls. To reach the beach with small gravel, you need to pass the cobblestone slope covered with grass on it~ It's no exaggeration to say that the waves are surging! The huge waves hit, leaving large pieces of foam on the beach and then gradually disappear~ So cute! We chose to ride Qixingtan that day! There is a special bicycle path on the shore~ What a great experience~ (There are single and double bicycles at the rental place, the price ranges from NT100 to NT200) The wind was very strong and salty along the way! After returning to Taiwan Guanba, we found that our hair was dry and we could feel fine salt grains on our faces~! In Qixingtan, we can have a wind and salt SPA~ It's very comfortable~ It's a rare experience! Finally~ Especially remind little girls~ Don't wear short skirts when you go to Qixingtan~ You know~~~ Qixingtan is the best place to enjoy rocks and waves in the suburbs of Hualien! Worth recommending!
The dialogue between stone and sea water Hualien Qixingtan Park, The charming curved coastline, Small, clean pebbles, Sitting in a circle with a pleasant face. I remember, A long, long time ago, The big stone came to the seaside, The extremely hard stone, While blowing its beard and glaring at the sea water. The waves were surging, The stone was thrown and cried for its mother and father. After millions of hugs and kisses, The huge stone turned into a small and obedient piece. The stone that lost its edges became much gentler, No longer arrogant, no longer wild, Dancing with the Dragon King to fight the waves, A pile of them was thrown on the shore. Look at now, the stone said to the sea: You nurtured me with your broad mind, I will always be with you. You contribute beauty to people, I will do my best to add color and beauty to you.
