This time at the Ocean Park, it was very crowded on the weekend due to the special offer. You have to queue for the rides. Even the short cable car ride requires queuing (I went to Ba Na Hills this year, and the return trip on the longest section took about half an hour). The popular mermaid show has a limit on the number of people, so arrive 10 minutes early. The staff announced: ...it's already full, please don't queue anymore. You also have to queue for the return bus. The bus at around five o'clock was completely full. So, I suggest everyone Go on weekdays, the value for money is super high, and the blue and white tones are super relaxing.

Outdoor areas are best visited during the day (6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), while rental facilities generally operate from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Special events like summer kite festivals and concerts are announced in advance. Weekends tend to be busier, so arriving early is recommended. Travel Tips 1. Some facilities only accept cash, so bring small change. 2. Mosquitoes are common by the lake; use insect repellent or wear long pants to avoid bites. 3. The lake area can get hot at midday during summer; consider using a tent for shade or visiting in the early morning or evening for a more comfortable experience. 4. Getting There Liyu Lake is easily accessible by car or by taking the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle "Liyu Lake Line" bus from Hualien City, which takes about 30–40 minutes. Free parking is available by the lake, making it convenient for those driving. Food Recommendations The lake area features several local snack stalls offering treats like fried Hualien shortfin eel balls and Liyu Lake sausages, which are simple yet flavorful. Nearby, you'll also find cafes and ice cream vendors. A must-try in summer is the homemade lemon aiyu jelly, which is incredibly refreshing! Every time I watch it, I’m amazed by how smart and adorable they are. The atmosphere is fantastic, filled with laughter. 🐠 The aquarium is also a must-see. You can observe stingrays swimming up close, which is incredibly soothing. 🎡 The park has many attractions suitable for kids, some of which are quite thrilling. It’s a perfect place for families to have fun and burn off energy together. 🚡 Finally, taking the cable car offers a breathtaking view of the vast Pacific Ocean from above. It’s such a relaxing experience that both adults and kids will love.

I recently visited Far Glory Ocean Park in Hualien, and overall, it was really impressive! As soon as I entered the park, I was captivated by the stunning ocean view. There are also some thrilling rides like the roller coaster, which were quite exciting. The park is relatively clean, and the staff are very friendly. However, the dining options are limited, and the prices are a bit high. If the food offerings could be improved, it would be even better. All in all, it's a great place for a family outing, and I’d love to visit again!

This is already our third time bringing our son to Hualien Farglory Ocean Park! Even though it's our Nth visit, every time we come, there are new surprises. Especially now that he's almost three years old, he understands how to play better and is more engaged in watching the attractions. He simply can't stop having fun! This time, we specifically arranged to take the cable car up the mountain. The view of the Pacific Ocean from above is breathtakingly beautiful. The amusement area on the mountain has also become more suitable for his age. In addition to animal shows and rides, we visited the Marine Exploration Hall to see the colorful fish and penguins in the aquarium. After lunch, we took a break at the park's café area. Watching our little one enjoy his ice cream with a face full of smiles and sweetness, we truly felt that this place is a paradise for family trips. Not only do kids have a blast, but adults can also slow down and enjoy quality time together. Hualien Farglory Ocean Park is definitely worth visiting again and again.
